Do You Have an Idea for a Program or Event?

This is what you need to do:

1)       Submit a brief written proposal (no more than a page) of the event/workshop/seminar/class with the following information:

a.       Title

b.      Rate per person

c.       Date/Time

d.      Brief explanation on how this program promotes inner or outer peace

e.      Number of anticipated participants

f.        How you will market this to your intended audience

2)      The proposal will be given to the Board for our monthly review to evaluate it for both the mission and the financial viability of the Center. We wish to work synergistically with all our Teachers and Healers to continue to provide the opportunity and physical resources to achieve our goals of Peace throughout our area.

Other Considerations

1)      As a non-profit organization, the Center operates on a volunteer basis – with Rev Margo being the primary volunteer. As a start up, this could be done for a short period of time but we are entering the beginning of our second year of operation and this is not a viable approach long term and does not allow us to grow or be the force of peace we wish.  

2)      From a purely fiscal perspective, to keep the Center operational, The Peace Center requires a minimum income of $30 per hour for program offerings in order to offset the non paid events, programming and resources we make available. No one is ever turned away at the Center because of a lack of financial resources but I believe, as Healers and Teachers of spiritual principle, it is incumbent on us to acknowledge and support the Center as we can. When I walk into the Center and I see personal healings, when I spend time there and know that my presence has been of support or comfort to someone who was hurting, confused or feeling lost – I KNOW that the Center is invaluable to the community and to me for I am able to share my healing gifts with those who are seeking them.  

In order to achieve the level of financial viability necessary to keep the Center operational and to grow, the following policy was adopted:

1)       All programming, effective 05/01/10 will need to bring in a minimum of $30 per hour of offering.

2)      A deposit, equal to the minimum time would be required at the time the event is approved by the Board.

3)      If the proceeds of the event exceed the deposit, the balance would be split 50/50. For example,

a.       If the event is two hours long, deposit of $60 would be expected.

b.      Event brings in gross proceeds of $100. The Center would keep an additional $20 and the $80 balance would be paid to you as a stipend for delivering the event.

We are also introducing sponsorship opportunities and request that all Teachers and Healers become financial sponsors of The Peace Center. Currently, The Peace Center promotes our offerings to our mailing list on meetup in order to encourage attendance and participation in programs. The new sponsorship program is designed to help get your word out about you as well as The Peace Center and support you as a growing Teacher and Healer.

Moving forward, priority for programming will be made to sponsors, with openings made available to non-sponsors as time and space permit. This will allow The Peace Center the financial ability to continue to serve the community and to grow. The benefits of sponsorship are listed below.  

Currently, the basic sponsorship is $25 per year and is intended for non-teacher/healers. The benefits of sponsorship at this basic level are intended for individual use – such as 10% off certain purchases and a 20 minute free Law of Attraction coaching session.

For Teachers and Healers, the following sponsorship opportunities are available to you:

Bronze Sponsor - $100 yearly sponsorship; reduced hourly rate of $25 per hour; two guaranteed program slots per year*; marketing to the Peace Center database, 10% discount for attendance to a half day Spiritual Entrepreneur Prosperity workshop.

Silver Sponsor - $150 yearly sponsorship, reduced hourly rate of $25 per hour; four guaranteed program slots per year*; marketing to the Peace Center database; 20 min Law of Attraction coaching session; featured healer display for six months in the front of the Peace Center, discounted rate for attendance to a half day Spiritual Entrepreneur Prosperity workshop.

Gold Sponsor - $250 yearly sponsorship, reduced hourly rate of $25 per hour for the center; six guaranteed program slots per year*; marketing to the Peace Center database and online notification on Meetup.com and Examiner.com; healing room rate of $15 per hour; 45 min Law of Attraction personal coaching session; featured healer display in the front of the Peace Center for the year and free attendance to a half day Spiritual Entrepreneur Prosperity workshop.

*Note: All programming is still subject to Board approval. As a sponsor, you will have the opportunity to discuss your ideas with the Board so all offerings are in alignment with The Peace Center’s mission.
