Nick says, Motion pictures over the past
century have provided entertainment, escape and a means to
inform and educate. Movies not only reflect society and
its changing face, they have also been on the vanguard of
trendsetting and cultural change since their inception.
History as it has been recorded throughout the centuries
and subsequently brought into the movies, is a
documentation of war, violence and a culture of excess,
repression and domination. Although Hollywood and hundreds
of independent filmmakers continue to create movies of
depth, humor, passion and pathos, the predominance of
violence has far exceeded civil
responsibility.
The
Dialogue for Peace is a school and community cultural outreach
program of the Peace on Earth Film Festival whose mission is to
raise awareness of Peace, Nonviolence, Social Justice and an
Eco-Balanced World in the following ways:
• Provide outlet and exhibition
to filmmakers in the genre of peace and
non-violence.
• Provide a venue where all
people can see entertainment does not necessitate
violence.
• Provide Community Outreach
Programs to Stimulate “Dialogue for Peace”.

VOTE FOR FUNDING
FOR THE PEACE ON EARTH FILM
FESTIVAL!!!
Also, the Peace on Earth
Film Festival (through their NFP "Transcendence
Global Media") is part of the Chase
Community Giving contest. From the facebook
site:
"Chase
Community Giving is back to give away another $5
million, and you help decide which 200 local charities
receive donations. Just search, vote, and share your
enthusiasm with your friends. It's a new Way Forward for
giving."
If you have not yet voted, please
take a minute to vote for Transcendence
Global Media. They
put on the yearly Peace on Earth
Film Festival and part of the mission statement is
to showcase films about an eco-balanced world. It is an
amazing festival and I hope you will consider supporting it
by clicking
here. It's free to
do and the money will go to someone. It should go to someone
who supports the mission of peace.
* Milissa
Pacelli and Nick Angotti have created “Dialogue for Peace ©” to
be presented as a Community Outreach Program and as a
curriculum for middle school through graduate level college
students.
